1776 Membership Meetings
Digital
Retirees Association Chapter 1776 had a meeting on October 25, 2007 at
the Sudbury Senior Center. Guest Speaker was Dan Tymann, Executive
Vice President for Advancement, Communications and Technology from
Gordon College, Wenham, MA.
Dan talked
about the groundbreaking event for the Ken Olsen Arts and Science Center
at Gordon College which took place on June 18, 2006. During his
presentation, Dan played portions of the DVD that was prepared in
advance of the event for the purpose of being part of the Tribute to Ken
Olsen program, which was held in the campus Chapel. Many of the people
at this meeting (Oct. 25) had not been able to attend the event on June
18, so they were especially delighted to learn about the very special
tribute made to Ken Olsen. Dan brought many "Tribute to Ken Olsen" mugs
as gifts. Plus copies of the DVD were available.
We were
honored to have 2 hp-REM (Hewlett Packard -Retired Employees of
Massachusetts) Board of Directors present. The event was well attended
and people were most impressed with the guest speaker, Dan Tymann.
After a
short break, Bob Moore, President, talked about the process of voting on
a new name for our organization. This was a very successful meeting.
