DEC Ireland held their Reunion on June 13, 2008 in Galway

Iain Watson reports:

• It happened and went well, on the 13th of June!

• 200-odd attended!

• All - I think! - enjoyed the night!

• The hotel did an excellent job!

• I did, deliver the toast to all absent friends, and made sure that they all understood!

• The, next, all invited, reunion that I will associate myself with, will be "2011" - Venue and date: TBD. In the interim, I hope that there will be some other smaller reunions! Tom Horan and I will continue to work on an improved 'digital'/Millennium Park for the purpose it was initially established.  We have established {through Liam} a site for viewing photos.

Digital's manufacturing plant in Galway, Ireland developed Digital Park for use of the senior citizens of Galway in 1984.  It contains a bicentennial pod that includes contributions from every school in Ireland.

Remember Ireland!

REUNION is planned for all ex-DECies and their partners.
 Date: June 13th, 2008 at 9:00pm
 Venue: Salthill Hotel, Galway
 
 The organisers want to see as many as possible turning up to renew
 old acquaintances and to swap stories on the ups and downs of the past 15 years.
 
 The plan is for a simple get-together but this will include finger
 food and background music for which there may be a nominal charge.

 friends, or contact them by whatever means suits best. Alternatively

 Why not organise a group from your old department?
 
 Tom and Iain require confirmation that you will be attending and
 whether you will be bringing a partner. They need numbers for the hotel.
