We
held our Kimball Farm
(400 Littleton Rd. Westford MA) get-together on Friday, August 22 from
3-6 pm, preceded by the following exciting event: This
year we have a SPECIAL TREAT designed by DEC Connection director Anker
Berg-Sonne - a DECconnection ROAD RALLY! The road rally will
start in the Maynard area at 1 pm and participants will
follow a route past several former Digital facilities. There will
be questions about the facilities to answer for the win. This is
not a speed race, the best way to perform well is not to get lost
(bring your GPS). It will be a fun event prior to meeting at
Kimball's. Our inaugural Road Rally was won by Marty Palmieri,
who received a $100 gift certificate for his victory.
The
Kimball's get-together was also successful, with 50 DECcies registered.

IMPORTANT: Meeting place at KIMBALL'S is in
one of the 2 large (free) public tents with picnic tables, just inside
by food stand and behind the silo in the photo above - NOT in the (expensive)
corporate area for private parties. You must look for our group - we'll
have at least one DECconnection table sign. You will be given Nancy
Kilty's cell phone number as well.
Lots of fun to be had for everyone
with games, rides, food, drinks and of course their famous ice cream.

DECconnection will provide $15 gifts
for all paid-up registered members, which can be spent on anything that
takes your fancy (food, drinks, rides, games, ice cream, etc.)
Non-members/guests are welcome to join us, but will not receive $15. You
pay for your own rides, golf, ice cream, food, etc. otherwise.
To sign up (no advance tickets required, but we’d appreciate knowing if
you plan to attend so we can stake out several tables together and

participating in the road rally, the Kimball's get-together, or both.
